OMBUDSMAN FOR BANKING SERVICES AND INVESTMENTS

APPLICATION FOR APPROVAL AS AN EXTERNAL COMPLAINTS BODY

Notice is hereby given that the Ombudsman for Banking Services and Investments (OBSI) intends to apply to the Minister of Finance to obtain approval as an external complaints body pursuant to subsection 455.01(1) of the Bank Act, its purpose being to deal with complaints made by persons having requested or received products or services from banks that have not been resolved to the satisfaction of those persons.

The external complaints body will carry on business in Canada under the name of Ombudsman for Banking Services and Investments in English and Ombudsman des services bancaires et d’investissement in French, and its head office will be located in Toronto, Ontario.

Outils et Techniques d’Aquacultures HengMao Inc. hereby gives notice that an application has been made to the Minister of Transport under the Navigable Waters Protection Act for approv-al of the plans and site of the work described herein. Under section 9 of the said Act, Outils et Techniques d’Aquacultures HengMao Inc. has deposited with the Minister of Transport and in the Land Registry Office of Gaspé, at Percé, Quebec, under deposit No. 20 426 021, a description of the site and plans of the aquaculture facility in the northwest basin of Gaspé Bay, Gaspé, in front of Jacques-Cartier Point, province of Quebec.

Comments regarding the effect of this work on marine navigation may be directed to the Manager, Navigable Waters Protection Program, Transport Canada, 1550 D’Estimauville Avenue, Suite 401, Québec, Quebec G1J 0C8. However, comments will be considered only if they are in writing and are received not later than 30 days after the date of publication of the last notice. Although all comments conforming to the above will be considered, no individual response will be sent.
