Certain gypsum board — Decision
On June 8, 2016, pursuant to subsection 31(1) of the Special Import Measures Act (SIMA), the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) initiated an investigation into the alleged injurious dumping of certain gypsum board originating in or exported from the United States of America, imported into Canada for use or consumption in the provinces of British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba, as well as the Yukon and Northwest Territories.
The goods in question are usually classified under the following Harmonized System number:
- 6809.11.00.10
The Canadian International Trade Tribunal (CITT) will conduct a preliminary inquiry into the question of injury to the Canadian industry. The CITT will make a decision within 60 days of the date of initiation. If the CITT concludes that the evidence does not disclose a reasonable indication of injury, the investigation will be terminated.

The Statement of Reasons regarding the decision will be issued within 15 days following the decision and will be available on the CBSA Web site at www.cbsa-asfc.gc.ca/sima-lmsi or by contacting the SIMA Registry and Disclosure Unit by telephone at 613-948-4605 or by email at simaregistry@cbsa-asfc.gc.ca.
Representations
Interested persons are invited to file written submissions presenting facts, arguments and evidence relevant to the alleged dumping. Written submissions should be forwarded to the Canada Border Services Agency, Trade and Anti-dumping Programs Directorate, SIMA Registry and Disclosure Unit, 100 Metcalfe Street, 11th Floor, Ottawa, Ontario K1A 0L8. To be given consideration in the investigation, this information should be received by October 21, 2016.
Any information submitted by interested persons concerning this investigation will be considered public information unless clearly marked confidential. When a submission is marked confidential, a non-confidential edited version of the submission also must be provided.

Notice is hereby given that, after completing its inquiry, the Canadian International Trade Tribunal (the Tribunal) made a determination (File No. PR-2015-058) on June 9, 2016, with respect to a complaint filed by Sunny Jaura d.b.a. Jaura Enterprises (Jaura), of Surrey, British Columbia, pursuant to subsection 30.11(1) of the Canadian International Trade Tribunal Act, R.S.C., 1985, c. 47 (4th Supp.), concerning a procurement (Solicitation No. W0127-15PO26/A) by the Department of Public Works and Government Services (PWGSC) on behalf of the Department of National Defence. The solicitation was for hotel services.
Jaura alleged that PWGSC improperly evaluated its bid and wrongly awarded the contract resulting from the solicitation.
Having examined the evidence presented by the parties and considered the provisions of the Agreement on Internal Trade and the Agreement on Government Procurement, the Tribunal determined that the complaint was not valid.

(Unisource) of Dorval, Quebec, concerning a procurement (Solicitation No. W8486-163253/A) by the Department of Public Works and Government Services (PWGSC) on behalf of the Department of National Defence. The solicitation is for the supply of loudspeakers. Pursuant to subsection 30.13(2) of the Canadian International Trade Tribunal Act and subsection 7(2) of the Canadian International Trade Tribunal Procurement Inquiry Regulations, notice is hereby given that the Tribunal made a decision on June 2, 2016, to conduct an inquiry into the complaint.
Unisource alleges that PWGSC awarded the contract to a bidder whose offer did not comply with certain mandatory technical criteria.

The solicitation is for an online realtime tailoring Digital Asset Management Brand Extranet. The Canadian International Trade Tribunal (the Tribunal) has received a complaint (File No. PR-2016-014) from CAMEC Joint Venture, including CAMEC Systems Corp., Promaxis Systems Inc., Utilis S.A.S. and Tulmar Safety Systems Inc. (CAMEC), of Ottawa, Ontario, concerning a procurement (Solicitation No. W8476-155245/A) by the Department of Public Works and Government Services (PWGSC) on behalf of the Department of National Defence. The solicitation is for shelter systems. Pursuant to subsection 30.13(2) of the Canadian International Trade Tribunal Act and subsection 7(2) of the Canadian International Trade Tribunal Procurement Inquiry Regulations, notice is hereby given that the Tribunal made a decision on June 8, 2016, to conduct an inquiry into the complaint.
CAMEC alleges that PWGSC incorrectly interpreted the terms of the solicitation documents, incorrectly evaluated its bid and used undisclosed criteria when evaluating its bid.

New Brunswick Energy Marketing Corporation
By an application dated June 22, 2016, New Brunswick Energy Marketing Corporation (the “Applicant”) has applied to the National Energy Board (the “Board”), under Division II of Part VI of the National Energy Board Act (the “Act”), for authorization to export up to 9 846 000 MWh of combined firm and interruptible energy annually for a period of 10 years. The Applicant, or its affiliates, has an interest in the following generation or transmission facilities in Canada:
- Belledune Generating Station, Belledune, N.B.
- Coleson Cove Generating Station, Saint John, N.B.
- Mactaquac Generating Station, Mactaquac, N.B.
- Beechwood Generating Station, Beechwood, N.B.
- Sisson Generating Station, Sisson, N.B.
