REDUCTION OF STATED CAPITAL
As required under subsection 78(5) of the Trust and Loan Companies Act (Canada), notice is hereby given that National Trust Company (the “Corporation”) intends to apply to the Superintendent of Financial Institutions (Canada) for approval to reduce the stated capital of the common shares of the Corporation in accordance with the special resolution, passed by the sole shareholder of the Corporation on September 1, 2017, a copy of which is set out below.
“RESOLVED AS A SPECIAL RESOLUTION THAT:
- Subject to the approval of the Superintendent of Financial Institutions (Canada), and in accordance with section 78 of the Trust and Loan Companies Act (Canada), the stated capital of the Corporation be reduced in one or more payments by October 31, 2017, by an amount of $222,985,351.55 in the aggregate (the “Authorized Limit”) by reducing the stated capital account maintained for its common shares, such amounts to be distributed to the sole shareholder of the Corporation;
- The directors and officers of the Corporation are hereby authorized and directed to apply under section 78 of the Trust and Loan Companies Act (Canada) for approval of this resolution and such reductions of stated capital;
- The Corporation's Chief Financial Officer shall determine the amount and timing of each such reduction of stated capital within the Authorized Limit; and
- Any officer or director of the Corporation are authorized and directed, for and on behalf of the Corporation, to execute and deliver all such documents and to do such other acts or things as may be determined to be necessary or advisable to give effect to this resolution, the execution of any such document or the doing of any such other act or thing being conclusive evidence of such determination.”

SCOTIA MORTGAGE CORPORATION
REDUCTION OF STATED CAPITAL
As required under subsection 78(5) of the Trust and Loan Companies Act (Canada), notice is hereby given that Scotia Mortgage Corporation (the “Corporation”) intends to apply to the Superintendent of Financial Institutions (Canada) for approval to reduce the stated capital of the common shares of the Corporation in accordance with the special resolution, passed by the sole shareholder of the Corporation on September 1, 2017, a copy of which is set out below.
“RESOLVED AS A SPECIAL RESOLUTION THAT:
- Subject to the approval of the Superintendent of Financial Institutions (Canada), and in accordance with section 78 of the Trust and Loan Companies Act (Canada), the stated capital of the Corporation be reduced in one or more payments by October 31, 2017, by an amount of $390,240,000 in the aggregate (the “Authorized Limit”) by reducing the stated capital account maintained for its common shares, such amounts to be distributed to the sole shareholder of the Corporation;
- The directors and officers of the Corporation are hereby authorized and directed to apply under section 78 of the Trust and Loan Companies Act (Canada) for approval of this resolution and such reductions of stated capital;
- The Corporation's Chief Financial Officer shall determine the amount and timing of each such reduction of stated capital within the Authorized Limit; and

PLANS DEPOSITED
Wilfred Arsenault and Helen Arsenault hereby give notice that an application has been made to the Minister of Transport under the Navigation Protection Act for approval of the plans and site of the work described herein. Under paragraph 5(6)(b) of the said Act, Wilfred Arsenault and Helen Arsenault have deposited with the Minister of Transport and in the office of the District Registrar of the Land Registry District of Prince County, at Summerside, Prince Edward Island, under deposit No. 40010, a description of the site and plans for the conversion of a bottom lease to an off-bottom lease for the culture of oysters in the Foxley River.
Comments regarding the effect of this work on marine navigation may be directed to the Regional Manager, Navigation Protection Program, Transport Canada, 95 Foundry Street, P.O. Box 42, Moncton, New Brunswick E1C 8K6. However, comments will be considered only if they are in writing and are received not later than 30 days after the date of publication of the last notice. Although all comments conforming to the above will be considered, no individual response will be sent.
