Interim Order No. 9 Respecting the Use of Model Aircraft

Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Transport, pursuant to subsection 6.41(2)^footnotea of the Aeronautics Act^footnoteb, approves the Interim Order No. 9 Respecting the Use of Model Aircraft, made by the Minister of Transport on May 31, 2018.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Order.)

This Order approves Interim Order No. 9 Respecting the Use of Model Aircraft made by the Minister of Transport on May 31, 2018. Without this approval, Interim Order No. 9 Respecting the Use of Model Aircraft would, in accordance with subsection 6.41(2) of the Aeronautics Act, cease to have effect 14 days after it was made. As a result of this approval, Interim Order No. 9 Respecting the Use of Model Aircraft will, in accordance with subsection 6.41(3) of the Aeronautics Act, cease to have effect one year after the day on which it was made or on the day on which regulations that have the same effect come into force, whichever is earlier. The Department of Transport expects to publish amendments to the Canadian Aviation Regulations that will have the same effect as Interim Order No. 9 Respecting the Use of Model Aircraft in 2018.
