The Wawanesa Life Insurance Company — Letters patent of amalgamation and order to commence and carry on business
Notice is hereby given of the issuance,
- pursuant to subsection 251(1) of the Insurance Companies Act, of letters patent amalgamating and continuing The Wawanesa Life Insurance Company and Western Life Assurance Company as one company under the name, in English, The Wawanesa Life Insurance Company and, in French, La Compagnie d’Assurance-vie Wawanesa, effective January 1, 2020; and
- pursuant to subsection 52(4) of the Insurance Companies Act, of an order authorizing The Wawanesa Life Insurance Company to commence and carry on business, and to insure risks falling within the classes of accident and sickness insurance, credit protection insurance (limited to the insurance against involuntary loss of employment by a person, the limit of which insurance is all or part of the debt of the person and limited to the servicing of existing policies), and life insurance, effective January 1, 2020.
