RELEASE OF ASSETS

Pursuant to section 599 of the Bank Act (Canada) [the “Act”], notice is hereby given that Credit Suisse AG, Toronto Branch intends to apply to the Superintendent of Financial Institutions (Canada) on or after March 6, 2024, for an order authorizing the release of the assets that it maintains in Canada in accordance with the Act.

Any depositor or creditor in respect of Credit Suisse AG, Toronto Branch’s business in Canada opposing that release is invited to file an opposition by mail to the Office of the Superintendent of Financial Institutions (Canada), Regulatory Affairs Division, 255 Albert Street, Ottawa, Ontario K1A 0H2, or by email at approvals-approbations@osfi-bsif.gc.ca, on or before March 6, 2024.

KOHO FINANCIAL INC.

APPLICATION TO ESTABLISH A BANK

Notice is hereby given, pursuant to subsection 25(2) of the Bank Act, that KOHO Financial Inc., incorporated under the Canada Business Corporations Act, with its head office in Vancouver, British Columbia, intends to file with the Superintendent of Financial Institutions an application for the Minister of Finance to issue letters patent incorporating a Schedule I bank pursuant to the Bank Act under the name “KOHO Bank” in English and “Banque KOHO” in French, to carry on the business of banking in Canada. The bank will provide deposit and lending products and services (e.g. savings accounts, prepaid cards, and retail loans) to Canadian residents.

Any person who objects to the issuance of these letters patent may submit their objections in writing to the Office of the Superintendent of Financial Institutions (OSFI), 255 Albert Street, 12th Floor, Ottawa, Ontario K1A 0H2 or by emailing OSFI at approvals-approbations@osfi-bsif.gc.ca, on or before April 18, 2024.

Note: The publication of this notice should not be construed as evidence that letters patent will be issued to incorporate the proposed bank. The granting of the let-ters patent will be dependent upon the normal Bank Act application review process and the discretion of the Minister of Finance.
