The Canadian International Trade Tribunal has received a complaint (File PR-2024-025) from TYR Tactical Canada ULC (TYR) of Kanata, Ontario, concerning a procurement (Solicitation WS3836953161) made by the Department of Public Works and Government Services (PWGSC) on behalf of the Department of National Defence. The solicitation was for the supply of commercial, off-the-shelf dismounted infantry capability enhancement systems and related services. Pursuant to subsection 30.13(2) of the Canadian International Trade Tribunal Act and subsection 7(2) of the Canadian International Trade Tribunal Procurement Inquiry Regulations, notice is given that the Tribunal made a decision on July 10, 2024, to conduct an inquiry into the complaint.
TYR alleges that PWGSC did not grant TYR’s request for a debrief meeting and did not otherwise properly explain to TYR why it was not selected for the initial contract.

Marine construction services
The Canadian International Trade Tribunal has received a complaint (File PR-2024-028) from Fraser River Pile & Dredge (GP) Inc. (FRPD) of New Westminster, British Columbia, concerning a procurement (Solicitation WS4399659650) made by the Department of Public Works and Government Services (PWGSC) on behalf of the Department of Fisheries and Oceans. The solicitation was for Phase II of the Okeover small craft harbour wharf reconstruction. Pursuant to subsection 30.13(2) of the Canadian International Trade Tribunal Act and subsection 7(2) of the Canadian International Trade Tribunal Procurement Inquiry Regulations, notice is given that the Tribunal made a decision on July 12, 2024, to conduct an inquiry into the complaint.
FRPD alleges irregularities in the procurement process and raises allegations of unfair advantage, lack of transparency and conflict of interest.
