Order Amending the Withdrawal from Disposal of Certain Tracts of Territorial Lands in the Northwest Territories (South Slave Region) Order

His Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Indian Affairs and Northern Development, pursuant to paragraph 23(a) of the Territorial Lands Act (see footnote a), makes the annexed Order Amending the Withdrawal from Disposal of Certain Tracts of Territorial Lands in the Northwest Territories (South Slave Region) Order.
ORDER AMENDING THE WITHDRAWAL FROM DISPOSAL OF CERTAIN TRACTS OF TERRITORIAL LANDS IN THE NORTHWEST TERRITORIES (SOUTH SLAVE REGION) ORDER
AMENDMENT
1. The schedule to the Withdrawal from Disposal of Certain Tracts of Territorial Lands in the Northwest Territories (South Slave Region) Order (see footnote 1) is replaced by the schedule set out in the schedule to this Order.
COMING INTO FORCE
2. This Order comes into force on the day on which it is registered.

(SOUTH SLAVE REGION)
SURFACE AND SUBSURFACE RIGHTS TO THE LANDS
In the Northwest Territories, all those parcels of land that are shown as Surface-Subsurface Lands on the following 1:250,000 reference maps recommended by the Land Working Group, consisting of representatives and negotiators from the Northwest Territory Métis Nation, the Government of the Northwest Territories and the Government of Canada, copies of which have been deposited with the Regional Manager, Land Administration, at Yellowknife in the Northwest Territories:

In the Northwest Territories, all those parcels of land that are shown as Surface-Subsurface Lands on the five maps identifying certain parcels in and around the community of Fort Resolution recommended by the Land Working Group, consisting of representatives and negotiators from the Northwest Territory Métis Nation, the Government of the Northwest Territories and the Government of Canada, copies of which have been deposited with the Regional Manager, Land Administration, at Yellowknife in the Northwest Territories.

The Order amends the schedule to the Withdrawal from Disposal of Certain Tracts of Territorial Lands in the Northwest Territories (South Slave Region) Order to facilitate the conclusion of Aboriginal land agreements.
