CANADIAN MULTICULTURALISM ACT

Order Designating the Minister of Canadian Heritage as the Minister for the purposes of the Act

His Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Prime Minister, pursuant to the definition “Minister” in section 2 of the Canadian Multiculturalism Act (see footnote a), effective November 4, 2015,

• (a) repeals Order in Council P.C. 2008-1733 of October 30, 2008 (see footnote b); and
• (b) designates the Minister of Canadian Heritage, a member of the Queen’s Privy Council for Canada, as the Minister for the purposes of the Canadian Multiculturalism Act (see footnote c).
