Order Designating Ministers under Certain Federal Acts

His Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Prime Minister,
- (a) pursuant to section 8 of the Agreement on Internal Trade Implementation Act (see footnote a), designates the Minister of Industry, a member of the Queen’s Privy Council for Canada, as the Minister for the purposes of any provision of that Act;
- (b) pursuant to the definition “Minister” in section 2 of the Canada Travelling Exhibitions Indemnification Act (see footnote b), designates the Minister of Canadian Heritage, a member of the Queen’s Privy Council for Canada, as the Minister for the purposes of that Act;
- (c) pursuant to paragraph (d) of the definition “appropriate Minister” in section 2 of the Financial Administration Act (see footnote c) and subparagraph (a)(ii) of the definition “appropriate Minister” in subsection 83(1) of that Act,
- (i) repeals paragraph (b) of Order in Council P.C. 1993-1450 of June 25, 1993 (see footnote d), and
- (ii) repeals paragraph (b) of Order in Council P.C. 1993-1982 of December 2, 1993 (see footnote e);
- (d) pursuant to the definition “Minister” (see footnote f) in section 2 of the Industrial Design Act (see footnote g), designates the Minister of Industry, a member of the Queen’s Privy Council for Canada, as the Minister for the purposes of that Act;
- (e) pursuant to section 3 of the Mackenzie Gas Project Impacts Fund Act (see footnote h), designates the Minister of the Canadian Northern Economic Development Agency, a member of the Queen’s Privy Council for Canada, to be the Minister for the purposes of that Act;
- (f) pursuant to the definition “Minister” (see footnote i) in section 2 of the Museums Act (see footnote j), designates the Minister of Canadian Heritage, a member of the Queen’s Privy Council for Canada, as the Minister responsible for the National Gallery of Canada, the Canadian Museum of History, the Canadian Museum of Nature, the National Museum of Science and Technology, the Canadian Museum for Human Rights and the Canadian Museum of Immigration at Pier 21 for the purposes of that Act; and
- (g) pursuant to section 4 of the Nuclear Liability and Compensation Act (see footnote k), designates the Minister of Natural Resources, a minister of the Crown, to be the Minister referred to in that Act.
This Order is effective November 4, 2015.
