Regulations Amending the Designated Provisions (Customs) Regulations

His Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness, pursuant to subsection 109.1(3) (see footnote a) of the Customs Act (see footnote b), makes the annexed Regulations Amending the Designated Provisions (Customs) Regulations.

Amendments
1 The portion of item 50 of Part 1 of Schedule 1 to the Designated Provisions (Customs) Regulations (see footnote 1) in column 2 is replaced by the following:

2 Schedule 1 to the Regulations is amended by adding the following after Part 5:

Coming into Force
4 (1) Subject to subsection (2), these Regulations come into force on the day on which they are registered.
(2) Section 3 comes into force on a day to be fixed by amendment to this subsection.

SOR/2002-336
