Regulations Amending the Tobacco Products Information Regulations (Miscellaneous Program)

Whereas, pursuant to section 42.1 of the Tobacco Act (see footnote a), the Minister of Health laid a copy of the proposed Regulations Amending the Tobacco Products Information Regulations (Miscellaneous Program), substantially in the annexed form, before the House of Commons on April 24, 2015 and the House of Commons did not concur in any report from a committee respecting the proposed Regulations within the following thirty sitting days;
Therefore, His Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Health, pursuant to paragraph 17(a) of the Tobacco Act (see footnote b), makes the annexed Regulations Amending the Tobacco Products Information Regulations (Miscellaneous Program).

Amendment
1 Paragraph 11(b) of the English version of the Tobacco Products Information Regulations (see footnote 1) is replaced by the following:
- (b) in Helvetica bold type in black characters of 10 points on a white background, or, if it is impossible to display the information without occupying more than 70% of the surface on which it is to be displayed under paragraph (a), in a pitch that results in the information occupying not less than 60% of that surface; and
Coming into Force
2 These Regulations come into force on the day on which they are registered.
